I admit, I watch all the scary horror movies and visit haunted houses during Halloween, but in the back of my mind I know nothing is actually real. So when I came across Ghost Tours of New Hope, I figured what’s the big deal? It is all fake right? Wrong! Ghost Tours of New Hope has been around for 29 years and everything remains the same as when it started in 1981. Everything they do is true and documented – no joke

The tours were started by author Adi-Kent Thomas Jeffrey, who wrote numerous books on the unexplained mysteries of the world. She had a devotion to paranormal activity and investigated all the hauntings in New Hope. Adele Gamble, who now owns Ghost Tours of New Hope came on board roughly one year after it started and has been giving tours ever since. (more…)

Thursday October 7th

Celebrate the Arts in Bucks: The Arts & Cultural Council of Bucks County, in conjunction with the Freight House,  is inviting the creative and performing arts community to join us for this special event. Insight into the “State of the Arts” in Bucks County, the economic importance of the arts on our local economy, and keynote speaker Tom Kaiden, President of the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance.  In addition to this brief presentation, complimentary hors d’ouevres will be served and a cash bar will be available. Bucks Happening This Week

Can you believe it’s already October? September flew by in a blur of fabulous fall events, but luckily Bucks County’s just getting started. Check out some of the great events happening in Bucks this week and as always, check in on our calendar & fall guide for other suggestions.

On Saturday, October 2nd, celebrate the start of October with Bensalem’s Fall Festival at TD Bank Ampitheater from 11am to 10pm. This annual community celebration is held on the beautiful grounds of the Bensalem Municipal Complex and highlights all that is distinctive about Bensalem township. Check out their jam-packed schedule including a Saturday night Disco Inferno dance party. Don’t miss out on this wonderful family day featuring an evening concert, fireworks, a car show, amusements, food, and crafts. Rain date set for October 3rd. (more…)
