Thanks to the ridiculously entertaining movie Elf, we all know that, “The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear.” Luckily, Puck in Doylestown has us covered this Christmas with one of Bucks Happening’s favorite local artists, Christy Jefferson, performing an intimate holiday show on Puck’s heated patio on Thursday, December 23rd (we loved when she performed at the Bucks Happening fall happy hour!). The best part is, admission is FREE for all ages until 9 PM. Check out a sneak peak with Christy’s performance of “Blue Christmas” below: (more…)
Take me to Havana tonight?? That will be the question next Saturday, November 27th when Eddie Money takes the stage in New Hope for his Christmas show. Tickets are a little steep compared to the traditional local venue ($40 for pre-orders and $45 at the door), but the eclectic, intimate venue of Havana’s coupled with a night of belting out classic 1980s songs with Eddie himself have the making for one hell of a night. Can Mr. Money still rake it in? Will you buy Two Tickets to Paradise? (more…)

A little while ago, we told you about the Quakertown-based internet Rock station, SRrocks. Halloween is in the air in Bucks County. With ghost stories, moon-lit tours, and hayrides in abundance, there is no shortage of thrilling events to attend this week. The question is, are you brave enough? Check out our weekly guide, and don’t worry, we’ll include a few tame events as well.

A few months back, I came across Quakertown’s 24/7 rock radio station, SRrocks.com. As a fan of all genres of rock (especially my early 90′s alt-rock faves), I wanted to learn more. Radio stations like 102.9FM and 104.5FM can sometimes get repetitive and while I love Pandora, it doesn’t exactly introduce me to new music. A local internet rock station could be the perfect solution! I did a little digging and soon found out that SRrocks even hosts a Wednesday evening segment called “The Philly Show.” Now I know exactly where to go to find out more about all of the amazing local talent. Laura Cheadle isn’t your average coffeehouse musician. She brings a funky, soul, rock, pop feel to any room with her lyrics and guitar. Just at the age of four, Laura was on tour and belting her heart out. For Laura, music has always been a part of her life and naturally became a career. Although she currently calls Princeton, NJ home in Laura’s words, “Bucks County is absolutely beautiful with such a great creative vibe.” She even finds herself visiting at least once a week!
Doylestown will have the pleasure of hosting Laura at Puck on Saturday, October 2nd, where she will celebrate the release of her new album “Change (It’s Alright).” Doors will be open at 7pm, with Laura coming on stage at 8:30pm. Tickets are only $8! (more…)
