It’s hard to think that we only have about three weeks left in one of the hottest summers so far! But you still have some time left to check out the hottest events surrounding you. Learn to Fly!

The first time I was on a plane I was 7 years old on my way to Jamaica with my family.  I remember looking out the window, nervously anticipating my first flight.  The sound of the engines starting, the acceleration, the landing equipment retracting; it all was so exhilarating.  The seat is sucking you in as the plane begins to lift off—nervous excitement!  My most recent experience was in the spring of 2009.  I was headed to Cancun, Mexico.  Sixteen years later I still have that feeling.

MAN THINGS-John’s Barber Shop

In my brief 23 years of life on this beautiful planet, I have made three generally poor assumptions; 1: women will flock to me because I think they will 2. Employers will jump at the chance to have me even though they don’t know me, and 3. I’m extraordinarily good looking.  Yes, I have fooled some with my charm and unenviable perseverance, but the truth of the matter is no man is safe behind the merit of his words.  What really resonates in the ear of “I’m out of your league” ladies, “you’re a bit under-qualified” employers, and even your own wishful thinking has always been a clean haircut.  Yes, a haircut.  You may say to yourself, “I like my haircuts. They do a good job”.  At first glance this may be true, but the overall experience when getting a cut can make a world of difference.  John’s Barber Shop in Newtown, PA makes that world of difference.

Hacking it in Bucks

I love golf – yes, quite simply that means that I love regularly putting myself through four plus hours of failed attempts at putting a tiny rotund projectile in a tiny hole 400+ yards away. Not once, not twice, but 18 times. It gets worse. Inevitably, after every round, I extend the four hours to endless hours of mental racing wondering what titanium hollow technology, ten layered soft feel ball or high priced golf Zen master can help my hopeless cause. I’ve even wondered whether I should ask my saintly Italian mother to put in some prayers to a higher power. The only thing that still makes me believe I am sane is that there are a lot of you out there just like me, or are we all insane? (more…)
