New Hope Holiday Light Extravaganza

Check out Bucks Happening’s preview of the New Hope Holiday Light Show!  Featuring more than 15,000 LED lights on the 35-foot Norway Spruce that anchors Ferry Street, the computer generated show will be a 16 minute long light extravaganza set to holiday music. Shows will be held each night at 6pm and 8pm, as well as 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays. (Want to see more? Our YouTube Channel has a longer video of the light show).

Well this year, why go to the malls and outlets when you can get a bunch of great gifts here in Bucks County! Many local stores have great sales of their own, which are probably less of a hassle. Announcing the BH Holiday Lights Contest!

There are few things more exciting than driving around during the holiday season to look at all of the beautifully decorated homes. And this year it’s getting even more exciting with the Bucks Happening Holiday Lights Contest!

It’s simple, send in your Bucks County holiday home photos to contest@buckshappening.com along with contact information- including name, phone number, and address (we won’t share your exact address with viewers, just towns).

We’ll post the pictures on our website and the photo with the most votes by midnight on 12/29 wins a $100 gift certificate to Montgomery Mall (perfect for some last minute gifts)!  Just outside Bucks County, Montgomery Mall features four department stores, JCPenney, Macy’s, Dick’s Sporting Goods and Sears along with 150 specialty shops including Hollister, Gap, and LOFT. Top Your Turkey Day Off with Homemade Ice Cream

Every great Thanksgiving Day celebration should include an array of scrumptious pies and desserts.  This year, take desserts to the next level by topping them off with HOMEMADE ice cream from Uncle Dave’s. Thanksgiving Guide

Gobble Gobble!  Thanksgiving officially marks the start of the holiday season. And since things are always hectic we figured we could make it easy by giving you the inside scoop. It’s most important to focus on all that you are thankful for, but of course that comes with a great meal and some fun activities (you know falling asleep on the couch after dinner with football in the background). Bucks County is no stranger to the tradition and there is plenty of going on.

GIVE BACK:

Black Tuesday – Make your holiday purchases early and stock up on goodies for your Thanksgiving celebration on Tuesday, November 23rd from 6-9pm! Help support local mom crafters and businesses as well as raise money for a local charity. There will be vendor tables, a basket raffle (including a BeMe Box!) and a refreshment booth. Proceeds from the raffle and refreshments go to Quilts for Kids. The event will be held at the Yardley Community Center. (more…)
