Don’t worry you still have one week to get the turkey and defrost it! But Thanksgiving is approaching quickly, so don’t forget to check out the guide. In case you are still putting off the food shopping and preparation until next week, there are great things happening this weekend in Bucks County!
Gobble Gobble! Thanksgiving officially marks the start of the holiday season. And since things are always hectic we figured we could make it easy by giving you the inside scoop. It’s most important to focus on all that you are thankful for, but of course that comes with a great meal and some fun activities (you know falling asleep on the couch after dinner with football in the background). Bucks County is no stranger to the tradition and there is plenty of going on.
GIVE BACK:
Black Tuesday – Make your holiday purchases early and stock up on goodies for your Thanksgiving celebration on Tuesday, November 23rd from 6-9pm! Help support local mom crafters and businesses as well as raise money for a local charity. There will be vendor tables, a basket raffle (including a BeMe Box!) and a refreshment booth. Proceeds from the raffle and refreshments go to Quilts for Kids. The event will be held at the Yardley Community Center. (more…)
Can you believe we are already only two weeks away from the big turkey day? (Wait until you see our Thanksgiving day guide!) But before the hustle and bustle of the holidays (don’t worry, we’ll have you covered there, too!), take some time to enjoy the events going on in Bucks County. Also, in honor of past and present military see our Veteran’s Day Guide for special dedication events.

Welcome to November! With Halloween behind you, there are just a few weeks to relax before the big holiday season arrives. Get out this weekend and enjoy the last few weeks of mild autumn weather. There is always something fun and exciting to do around Bucks.
Halloween is nearly here! Can you believe it? This is the final weekend to really get in the spirit. Hopefully you have your costume picked out, your pumpkins carved and your party planned! If you are still not in the spirit check out our post on simple and easy ways to celebrate Halloween right.

Though the weather can’t decide if it’s summer or fall, we have gathered a great list of happenings to enjoy in a variety of climates. We picked a few inside and a few outside – who knows what mother nature will call for? In addition to this list, check out our Fall Guide and calendar for all the events happening throughout the season.
Do you have your amazing 2010 Halloween costume idea yet? That’s okay, we don’t either, but we’re more still excited about it than ever! Why you may ask? We just found out that on Friday, October 29th from 9pm-1am, the Newtown Athletic Club is hosting a huge adult Halloween bash at their beautiful facility for both members AND non-members (after all, why do kids always get to have all the fun?).
Food, wine & beer, and entertainment will all be included for $30. We can’t wait to dance the night away to both the live band and DJ! Plus, the Bucks Happening crew will be awarding great prizes to the best costumes of the night and featuring the winners on the site.
If you had fun at our other happy hour events, make sure to come out for the big Halloween Bash. This is the first Bucks Happening event since we won “Best Blogger” in Philly so there will be more than one reason to celebrate.
We are CHOCK FULL this week ladies and gentlemen! Check out our calendar & fall guide for a full listing, but here’s the highlights:
