This May, a new brewfest is coming to Bucks County to support a cause close to local hearts. On the afternoon of May 14th, the Friends of Washington Crossing Park will present the Washington Crossing Brewfest.
When: May 14, 2011 12:30PM-4:30PM
Where: Washington Crossing Historic Park (Upper Park- Pennsylvania side- behind the Thomspon-Neely House & along the river)
What: With over 50 participating breweries, get ready for delicious tastings, live music, and a lot of fun!
How: Tickets are $40 ($10 for designated drivers) Get your tickets online at Washington Crossing Brewfest or at one of the participating locations- Isaac Newton’s, Triumph Brewery of New Hope, Bucks Visitor’s Bureau, Yardley Print & Ship, & the Continental Tavern.

Celebrate the Academy Awards at Marsha Brown with an elegant evening in their picturesque choir loft watching the Oscars live from Hollywood!
On Sunday, February 27, 2011 Marsha Brown will host a black tie evening with the Academy Awards! Looking for a reason to break out that special gown? Do you look devilishly handsome in a tuxedo? Want to dine in elegance amongst the stars?
The party will start with Red Carpet coverage and continue until the credits roll. Watch your favorite Hollywood stars on the big screen while dining like luminaries (as if you really needed an excuse to order champagne and oysters!).
The full Marsha Brown dinner menu will be available as well as scrumptious specials and Hollywood inspired wines. Our Hollywood themed evening will include contests, prizes and an Oscar pool.
Reservations begin at 5:00 pm and continue until 9:00 pm. Seating is flexible so that you may choose which part of the Awards show you want to watch. Of course, feel free to stay tuned in for the entire evening.

#2 New Hope Lights the Nights
New Hope Fireworks and Holiday Light Show, Bucks Happening’s Top 10 of 2010
While New Hope has always been a fantastic destination in Bucks County, this year the town stepped up its game by introducing Friday Night Fireworks and the Holiday Lights Show. Of course, we had to check out both (multiple times) and New Hope did not disappoint. The best part is, the entertainment is provided free of charge to spectators, bringing in thousands of extra visitors to the quirky town all year long. This event had us salivating all September long. On the first day of fall, Thursday, September 23rd, Uncle Dave’s Ice Cream gave away FREE pumpkin ice cream to anyone who said “Bucks Happening has me falling for Uncle Dave’s Ice Cream.” LOVED IT!! (more…)
