Gobble Gobble! Thanksgiving officially marks the start of the holiday season. And since things are always hectic we figured we could make it easy by giving you the inside scoop. It’s most important to focus on all that you are thankful for, but of course that comes with a great meal and some fun activities (you know falling asleep on the couch after dinner with football in the background). Bucks County is no stranger to the tradition and there is plenty of going on.
GIVE BACK:
Black Tuesday – Make your holiday purchases early and stock up on goodies for your Thanksgiving celebration on Tuesday, November 23rd from 6-9pm! Proceeds from the raffle and refreshments go to Quilts for Kids. The event will be held at the Yardley Community Center. (more…)

On Thursday, November 11th, we commemorate United States veterans past and present, and there are no shortage of local events to mark the occasion. With the non-stop political buzz surrounding the recent midterm elections, we can appreciate our civil liberties more than ever. Let’s take some time this week to honor those who have so valiantly fought to protect them.

Welcome to November! With Halloween behind you, there are just a few weeks to relax before the big holiday season arrives. Get out this weekend and enjoy the last few weeks of mild autumn weather. There is always something fun and exciting to do around Bucks.
Apple pies, apple turnovers, apple cider, apple butter, apple wine, apple fritters (I feel like Bubba in Forrest Gump!)…the delicious possibilities of this popular fruit are endless. Apples can be bought in hundreds of varieties, from red to green and pink to yellow, from tart to sweet and sour to bitter. Still, while apples are grown all year long, the fall harvest has a reputation for producing the best- darker, deeper red with sweeter flavors.
