In case you’re still looking for a way to kickoff the weekend, Shaving Grace Barbers in Doylestown will be hosting a launch and tasting party for the newly-minted Doylestown Brewing Company (DBC) tonight (March 9th) from 6pm – 9pm. DBC currently offers three unique craft brews. Union Street IPA, R-5 Lager, and Fountain House Light. Currently brewing out of Latrobe, Pennsylvania, the company is searching for a Doylestown space for seasonal brewing and a tasting room.
On Tuesday January 31st at 4pm, Inside Golf in connection with Yuengling Brewery will be filming live at the Green Parrot Restaurant and Pub in Newtown.
Come out for live shooting and Yuengling beer specials all evening long! The live panel will be hosted by Harry Donahue and will have former NBA referee Steve Javie, golf professional Tony Leodora, golf writer Jack McCafferty and golf writer Joe Logan.
The 2012 Super Bowl will be broadcast by NBC on February 5th. The Official Game Time is 6:30 ET. About Jeff Norman: Lynchburg, Tennessee, native Jeff Norman was born to work at the Jack Daniel Distillery in Lynchburg (pop. 361), Tennessee. His parents, Harry and Sara, collectively dedicated more than 70 years of service to making the world’s most popular whiskey before retiring. His father, a taster, even appeared in several ads. Pumpkin ales are truly an American invention. Long ago in colonial times when grains were scarce or too expensive, pumpkins were fermented instead to brew beer. Word is our founding fathers brewed their own pumpkin ales! They took it a step more extreme and added apples, squash, and corn to the mash. Unfortunately, pumpkin ales took the back seat for decades until resurgence in the 1980s when craft breweries started to toy around with some recipes. (more…)
