On Tuesday January 31st at 4pm, Inside Golf in connection with Yuengling Brewery will be filming live at the Green Parrot Restaurant and Pub in Newtown.
Come out for live shooting and Yuengling beer specials all evening long! The live panel will be hosted by Harry Donahue and will have former NBA referee Steve Javie, golf professional Tony Leodora, golf writer Jack McCafferty and golf writer Joe Logan.

Rare Pliny the Elder on Tap
Okay- we know you’re probably just getting back into your work routine after the hectic holidays BUT you may want to get out early today…again. That’s because on Wednesday, January 4th, 2012, Newtown’s Isaac Newton’s will tap the almost-impossible-to-find Russian River Pliny the Elder Double IPA (8%)!
One of Russian River’s most popular beers, Pliny the Elder is brewed with 40% more malt and over twice the amount of hops of their standard IPA.
This beer has almost a cult-like following from beer enthusiasts around the world so there is no doubt this keg won’t last long!

Local Musician Spotlight: Jared Costa
Billboard recognized artist and Newtown native Jared Costa is releasing his sophomore album “This Dizzying Pace and the Aftermath”, and locals are invited to the CD Release Show on Sunday, January 7th at Puck in Doylestown.
Costa started playing harmonica at the age of 10 and has gone on to create a unique blend of folk-inspired music, his sound being compared to Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young and Bob Dylan. He sets harmonica melodies up against acoustic guitar harmonies, creating a beautiful accompaniment for his deep, soulful voice.
Origivation Magazine gave Costa’s album its highest accolade, an “Onwards and Upwards” and “Iconic” rating. After a near 35 city tour in 2010, Skope Magazine named him as one of their “Artists to Watch”.

10. Apparently people were “Jealous of our Gelish“! This article, which chronicled Bucks Happening’s experience receiving a Gelish manicure from Newtown’s Fingertips and Tootsies, was one of the highest searched items of the year. This new nail polish promised no chips for weeks and we were thrilled to discover it delivered.

Start the weekend off with a laugh as Comedian Reverend Bob Levy takes the stage at Puck on Friday night at 7pm. One of the funniest, most irreverent comedians on the circuit today. Bob is on many radio shows. When it comes to working the crowd, Bob consistently works them into a frezy! People say he’s over the line, blunt, and politically incorrect, and oh yeah, funny. He does not go on stage and pick on people, he is a polished, well groomed act that took years to create and audiences are loving it. Bob’s knack for off the cuff humor is the best in the business!
