We’re partying in style, rolling out the red carpet to celebrate the 2012 Happening List at Occassions! We’re celebrating all of the 2012 Happening list winners and finalists! Our event is open to the public but space is limited so hope you’ve booked your tickets early. While there is no official dress code, you should be dressed to impress on the red carpet!
If you have lived in Bucks County for any amount of time, you may know that we have a number of great resources available to help us make healthy choices and stay fit. One such resource, The Cornerstone Clubs, recently saw an opportunity to give back and proved that great things can be done with the help of a supportive community.

May 12th is National Train Day, where Americans are encouraged to celebrate the sense and experience of train travel. Bucks County is fortunate to have a number of great railways that still offer travelers the experience and convenience of taking the train every single day. Coincidentally, the headquarters for Bucks Happening sits nearly next door the New Hope Train, and we have developed quite an affinity for its sights, sounds, and staff. (more…)
Beginning May 25th, New Hope & Lambertville will host the kickoff to its 3rd season of Friday Night Fireworks. The annual event, put on by the New Hope & Lambertville Chambers Of Commerce, has become a huge hit among locals. Each week, the celebration draws a sizable crowd of individuals and families looking to kick off their warm summer weekends with a bang (pun intended, but someone had to say it!) We have really enjoyed this event each year – it really brings the town together and it helps to make the summer weekends at little more festive.

Into the Woods [opening night]
Newtown Theatre, 120 N. State Street, Newtown
7:30pm – 10:00pm
Join Jack in the Beanstalk, Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, Rapunzel and a host of fairy tale favorites as they search for “happily ever after” in James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim’s fractured musical. Cursed by a witch with childlessness, the Baker and his wife embark on a quest for objects to break the spell: “A cow as white as milk; a cape as red as blood; a hair as yellow as corn; a slipper as pure as gold.” All get their wishes but soon discover moving lessons in responsibility that bring their happy endings crashing down around them.
Earth Day 2012 will be observed on April 22. Every year this holiday reminds us that we need to take care of this great planet that we all share.

The Happening List Red Carpet Bash is just a over a week away, and at Bucks Happening, we are more excited than ever! Below is a sneak peak at what attendees can expect at the First Annual Happening List Bash:

With the smell of fresh baked belgian waffles permeating down West Mechanic Street, it’s hard to resist walking into the brand new Nina’s Waffles and Ice Cream, even though it’s tucked away about a block off of bustling Main Street in New Hope. Once inside, expect all will power to make a swift exit. Rich, fresh baked waffles sweetened to perfection with a delicate baked-in layer of sugar; a range of hand-crafted small-batch ice creams from local favorite OWowCow (a 2012 Happening List winner); and a big smile from waffle-maker extraordinaire Shawn Lawson greets guests.
Savannah Zeaman is our Happening Kid for April. A kindergarten student at McDonald Davis Elementary in Warminster, Savannah was the student of the month in her class for January. In addition to achieving high scores on her report card, she is a talented artist, a hip hop dancer at Dance with Me studios, and is preparing for her first dance recital in May. (more…)
Recently, HGTV’s hit show House Hunters came to Bucks to highlight an entrepreneurial couple looking to invest in some real estate. The episode will premiere on April 5th on HGTV. It was the first time the show had decided to highlight a couple interested in purchasing a property with the purpose of renting it out. Naturally, we were excited to know more, so we sat down to talk about the experience with the featured couple Lauren and Zack (L&Z).
