It’s back to school time, which also means back-to-activity time. If you’re thinking about enrolling in dance this year, head to the PA School of the Performing Arts Fall Open House on Thursday from 4:30pm to 7:30pm. Meet their teachers and have a tour of their facilities at the beautiful Barn Studios in historic The Gathering in Wrightstown, conveniently located at the intersection of Penn’s Park Road and 2nd Street Pike. (Read about a Broadway dancer from PA School of the Performing Arts here.) (more…)

New Hope Fireworks, Friday, September 2nd,: If you haven’t seen the fireworks yet, you have a few more weekends to get to New Hope for the big show! (they’ve been extended into September due to rain cancellations throughout the summer). A spectacle of lights over the Delaware River takes place at 9:30pm on Friday nights. Orchestrated by Garden State Fireworks, a glittering ten-minute firework show will illuminate the sky over the Delaware River for the summer season. In addition, most retail businesses on both sides of the river will stay open late. The fireworks displays will take place, at the same launch site each week, about 500 feet south of the New Hope Lambertville Free Bridge, about 500 feet offshore on the Pennsylvania side of the Delaware river. In the case of inclement weather, please check the website by 12 noon on Friday’s for possible cancellations. (more…)
