Bowling Fun at Brunswick Zone

brunswick-zone-feasterville-004Though it is sometimes an embarrassing experience due to my inability to break a score of 70, a night at the bowling alley is always a good time. That’s why a couple weeks ago, we decided to celebrate a friend’s birthday by visiting the lanes at Brunswick Zone in Feasterville.

Since there was a short wait to bowl due to a busy Saturday night crowd, we headed to the in-house bar. Your probably picturing a typical dingy bowling-alley bar, right? Well, you’d be pleasantly surprised by the scene at Brunswick Zone, where the bar hosts live music, billiard tables, and a picturesque fire pit (pictured below). We certainly didn’t mind the wait! Wedding Contest Kick-off: Round 1!

Last week, we announced our biggest contest EVER on Bucks Happening, an amazing give-a-way of $10,000 worth of wedding goods & services to 1 lucky local couple.  Today we kick off round 1 of voting to determine the contest finalists on our Facebook fan-page.  Check out the album “Wedding Contest Entries” and vote for your favorite couple by “liking” the photo. Celebrate Martin Luther King Day in Bucks County

On the third Monday of January each year, we celebrate Martin Luther King Day to commemorate his peaceful activism in the civil rights movement.  His message is ingrained in the spirit of America, and part of the way we honor him is actually rooted in Pennsylvania. The national Martin Luther King Day of Service was started by former Pennsylvania U.S. Senator Harris Wofford and Atlanta Congressman John Lewis, who co-authored the King Holiday and Service Act.  Beyond the U.S., his message resonates throughout the world. In fact, the Japanese city of Hiroshima as well as our Northern neighbors in Toronto celebrate King’s message of human rights.
