The curtain is about to rise on the Bucks County Playhouse. Under the joint leadership of Peggy McRae, Director of Community Affairs and New York producer Jed Bernstein, these two visionaries are spearheading a second act for the Playhouse, transforming the iconic theater from bankruptcy and returning it to Equity status. Equity status allows the theater to bring live music to productions. McRae and Bernstein are hard at work planning a gala and two phases of renovations; the first to return the building to safety and compliance code. An open house for the community scheduled for February 16 from 5:30- 7:00 will feature a presentation by the architect overseeing the renovations as well as Bernstein who will present his artistic vision for the future.
