Trenton Thunder Opening Day
Waterfront Park, 1 Thunder Road, Trenton, NJ
Starts at 7:05pm

The Trenton Thunder open up their 2012 season at Waterfront Park against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats. For the first 2000 ticket holders to arrive will get opening night magnetic schedules. It’s also Thirsty Thursday, which means a great beer special from gates open until the middle of the 5th inning!   Tickets start at $10. Wedding Contest Kick-off: Round 1!

Last week, we announced our biggest contest EVER on Bucks Happening, an amazing give-a-way of $10,000 worth of wedding goods & services to 1 lucky local couple.  Today we kick off round 1 of voting to determine the contest finalists on our Facebook fan-page.  Check out the album “Wedding Contest Entries” and vote for your favorite couple by “liking” the photo. There are so many wonderful ways to soak in the great outdoors of Bucks County. This year alone we’ve practiced yoga in the park, biked along the canal, visited the spectacular ringing rocks, and canoed on Lake Luxembourg to name a few. One of our favorite visits, though, was the scenic trip to Peace Valley Lavender Farm.  There are few better ways to spend a sunny spring morning than by taking in the fresh smell of Lavender overlooking Lake Galena.  Their handmade products include lavender oil, lavender pillow sprays, and even lavender chocolates! Announcing the BH Holiday Lights Contest!

There are few things more exciting than driving around during the holiday season to look at all of the beautifully decorated homes. And this year it’s getting even more exciting with the Bucks Happening Holiday Lights Contest!

It’s simple, send in your Bucks County holiday home photos to contest@buckshappening.com along with contact information- including name, phone number, and address (we won’t share your exact address with viewers, just towns).

We’ll post the pictures on our website and the photo with the most votes by midnight on 12/29 wins a $100 gift certificate to Montgomery Mall (perfect for some last minute gifts)!  Just outside Bucks County, Montgomery Mall features four department stores, JCPenney, Macy’s, Dick’s Sporting Goods and Sears along with 150 specialty shops including Hollister, Gap, and LOFT. One thing that I love about the holidays is finding the perfect gift for my loved ones, knowing I will see  huge smiles on their faces when they unwrap their big surprises.  In my opinion, giving is even more fun that getting!
