The West Philadelphia Orchestra will get you moving with the poignant melodies and the frenetic, propulsive rhythms of Eastern Europe. Ahh, Labor Day! Sure it is nice to get a day off of work but it also marks the end of one hot summer season. Of course Bucks County always holds some of the best events in the area for the holiday weekend. Say goodbye to summer with a bang by attending some of these fun Labor Day Happenings around Bucks County.
New Hope Fireworks, Friday, September 2nd,: If you haven’t seen the fireworks yet, you have a few more weekends to get to New Hope for the big show! (they’ve been extended into September due to rain cancellations throughout the summer). A spectacle of lights over the Delaware River takes place at 9:30pm on Friday nights. Orchestrated by Garden State Fireworks, a glittering ten-minute firework show will illuminate the sky over the Delaware River for the summer season. In addition, most retail businesses on both sides of the river will stay open late. The fireworks displays will take place, at the same launch site each week, about 500 feet south of the New Hope Lambertville Free Bridge, about 500 feet offshore on the Pennsylvania side of the Delaware river.
