M.O.M.’s is donating 20% of their bills tonight to the Our Lady of Confidence Day School in Willow Grove. The proceeds will fund the school’s wish list (which includes iPads and Apple accessories for the students).
The Day School in Willow Grove, PA. has been educating children and young adults with cognitive impairment and developmental delays since 1954.
If you’ve been following along with our Photos Of The Week at Bucks Happening, you may have noticed the recurring photography of JC Sager, a local photographer with a love for dogs. His passion for photography is matched only by his passion for canines. He owns Bucks County Dog Walks in Yardley. According to BCDW’s website, they have a simple goal: to supply the most personal care and attention to their clients and their clients’ four legged friends. We recently sat down to talk with JC about his work with photography and dogs. After speaking with JC, we definitely think they’re reaching their goal.

There are few things that bring people together like music. Some of my best memories in high school are of going to shows and creating memories with new friends. The shared love of a band is a great icebreaker.
When I finally entered my twenties, a whole new world opened up to me as I became eligible to see live music at local bars and clubs. Going to see a band is one of my favorite activities and it breaks up the routine of just ‘bar hopping’ every weekend. You never know what the night will bring, but no matter what, it’s always fun and entertaining! It’s great to follow bands around the area, because you start seeing familiar faces and building connections just by going to shows. I’ve created some great relationships over the years by meeting other fans at live events.

Next weekend, in honor of Mother’s Day, Bucks County’s famed Byers’ Choice is establishing a new tradition: They are hosting a weekend-long craft show, featuring over 70 artisans and premier craftsmen at their workshop.
Running on May 12th from 10 a.m.—5 p.m. and May 13th from 10 a.m.—4:30 p.m., the event will feature some of the most talented craftsmen in the region, spotlighting a variety of handmade items from traditional crafts to modern creations. From the sound of things, The Mother’s Day Weekend Craft Show won’t be ‘just another’ craft event – the artisans were each selected through a jury process and every craft sold is handmade and original! If you like crafts, you won’t want to miss this event.

Mustaches. They’re not just for Tom Selleck and hipsters anymore.
The Doylestown Historical Society is hosting an ‘old-style’ mustache contest. They are looking for the best one in town: handlebar, waxed, or otherwise. The deadline for this extreme event is Memorial Day (May 28, 2012). The reason for that deadline is that contestants are invited to sport their ‘staches while marching in Doylestown’s famed Memorial Day Parade (the oldest Memorial Day Parade in the country, by the way).
